In-Home Visit

Our Dental Hygiene Clinic Offers Patients A Private In-Home Dental Visit For Those Who Are Unable To Make It To Our Office

Home oral hygiene care and systemics conditions determines the frequency of your visits with our dental hygienist. Taking care of your overall health should be every patient’s top priority because your overall health can impact so many things from your mood to your skin to your teeth, and your oral health is just as important. And just like your overall health, your oral health can become impacted due to lifestyle habits, illnesses, and age. These circumstances vary from patient to patient, and because everyone has varying circumstances in their life, some patients may resort to not coming in for a dental checkup. However, this can cause harm to your oral health which could results in serve plaque buildup, irritated and bleeding gums, gum disease, and even tooth lose. This is why we offer in-home visits. It is important to know though, only certain procedures can be performed in-home as there are limitations on what can be done due to space, equipment, safety, and health concerns.

During your first in-home visit, we will review your dental and medical history and perform an oral exam where we inspect your teeth and gums for any cavities or early signs of tooth decay or gingivitis. Then, we will create your individual treatment plan and answer any questions you may have. During this visit, and depending on time, we will also clean and polish your teeth.

We understand you have a busy schedule, so when you are preparing for our visit, please remember your appointment can last between 45-to-90-minutes, and if you have an insurance card, please remember to have it available for your first appointment. Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a bright and healthy smile. The Dental Association recommends a visit every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings in order to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

As your local dental hygiene clinic, we are committed to providing in-home oral hygiene care services to both children and adults who suffer from chronic diseases, limited mobility, and dental anxiety. We also provide dental hygiene and emergency services for our local palliative care centers which include Extendicare, Golden Manor, and CTRC. Please contact us if you have loved ones that reside in a private home or in a long-term care facility and are seeking the need of a private in-home dental hygiene visit.
